Charles J. Dunn, Jr., Esq.
CHARLES J. DUNN, JR. is a partner of the Boston law firm of Dunn and Dunn, where he specializes in medical malpractice defense litigation. He is a 1964 graduate of Boston University and graduated from New England School of Law in 1968. Mr. Dunn was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1970, and the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit in 1974.
Prior to establishing the firm of Dunn and Dunn, Mr. Dunn was a partner in Dunn & Rogers, P.C., and an associate in the firm of Dunn, Dunn and Kane, which was founded by his late father, Charles J. Dunn, and his late uncle, John Dunn (the former Chairman of the Board of Bar Examiners). He has lectured on trial practice at the New England School of Law and Boston University. In addition, he has also lectured in Nursing Home Law at Suffolk University, and spoken before the Massachusetts Bar Association.
Mr. Dunn is also a member of the American College of Trial Attorneys who has tried hundreds of medical malpractice cases defending doctors, dentists, hospitals, nurse practitioners and nurses, as well as general liability, domestic, nursing home, and Board of Registration in Medicine, Dental and Nursing cases in his 40 years of active practice.
Christopher R. Lavoie, Esq.
CHRISTOPHER LAVOIE is the managing partner at Dunn and Dunn. He is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on the defense of complex litigation, including medical malpractice, nursing home, general liability, personal injury and premises liability cases. His practice includes representing clients in both State and Federal Court. Mr. Lavoie also has experience representing healthcare providers before their boards of registration and advising healthcare providers on regulatory, credentialing and peer review issues. Mr. Lavoie is a frequent lecturer to healthcare professionals and has tried many cases in the Massachusetts Courts.
Mr. Lavoie is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the State of New Hampshire.
Mr. Lavoie is a 1994 graduate of the University of Chicago and 1997 graduate of Suffolk University Law School where he served as Managing Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review. Mr. Lavoie currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Toby M. Jesson, Esq.
TOBY JESSON joined the Law Firm of Dunn and Dunn in 2009, and concentrates his practice in the defense of health care professionals. Mr. Jesson has successfully represented academic medical institutions, hospitals, individual health care providers, and skilled nursing and long-term care facilities throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on a wide variety of claims since 2003. Mr. Jesson represents clients in both state and federal courts and is experienced in various forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Prior to focusing his practice on the representation of health care professionals, Mr. Jesson served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, as well as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Mr. Jesson is a graduate of The University of Virginia and Suffolk University Law School. He is admitted to the practice of law in all Courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Courts for the District of Massachusetts and the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the First and Fourth Circuits.
Mathew G. Dunn, Esq.
MATHEW DUNN joined the firm of Dunn and Dunn in July of 2007 and concentrates his practice on the defense of healthcare professionals and institutions in both the Superior and District Courts, as well as before their overseeing administrative boards, agencies, and commissions.
Mathew Dunn is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire (B.A., 2003) and New England School of Law (J.D., 2006). While attending the New England School of Law he received the CALI Excellence Award for being the highest ranking student in the course of Advanced Criminal Advocacy.
Attorney Dunn is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the State of New Hampshire.
Upon his admission to the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Mr. Dunn was employed as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, where he prosecuted hundreds of cases at the Chelsea District Court. During his employment at the District Attorney’s Office Mr. Dunn was involved in the local community by participating in the Community Based Juvenile Justice Program, as well as the Changing Lives Through Literature Program.
Joseph L. Delisi, Esq.
JOSEPH DELISI joined the law firm of Dunn and Dunn in January of 2011. Mr. Delisi concentrates his practice in the defense of health care professionals and health care facilities throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mr. Delisi also manages Probate and Collection matters in his practice at Dunn and Dunn.
A graduate of Suffolk University (B.A. 2004) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D. 2010) Mr. Delisi was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in November of 2010 and has handled cases throughout Massachusetts District and Superior Courts. Mr. Delisi is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and was named as a SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2015.
Prior to practicing at Dunn and Dunn, Mr. Delisi worked as a paralegal practicing general insurance defense at Engelberg, Bratcher and Kenner in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Delisi was an academic all-conference varsity basketball player while at Suffolk University and was a Suffolk University Law School Alumni Scholarship recipient. Mr. Delisi is currently serving as the President of College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Board at Suffolk University.
STACY DRACKWICZ , Esq.
STACY DRACKWICZ joined the firm of Dunn and Dunn in October of 2014 and concentrates her practice on the defense of healthcare professionals and institutions in both the Superior and District
Court. Ms. Drackwicz also handles the Probate and Collection matters for the firm.
Stacy Drackwicz is a graduate of Gettysburg College (B.A., 2009) and New England School of Law (J.D., 2012). Throughout her time at New England School of Law, she was a recipient of a Dean’s Scholarship, as well as on the Dean’s List. Ms. Drackwicz was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in November 2012 and has handled cases throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining Dunn and Dunn, Ms. Drackwicz practiced commercial litigation and collection matters. She enjoys working on pro-bono matters, particularly asylum law.
Jeffery I. Stoddard, Esq.
JEFFERY STODDARD joined the firm of Dunn and Dunn in October of 2016. Mr. Stoddard’s practice focuses on civil litigation, including the defense of healthcare professionals and medical institutions, construction law and the representation of general contractors and subcontractors, premise liability, and liquor liability.
Mr. Stoddard is a graduate of Northeastern University (2009) and New England School of Law (2012). While attending the New England School of Law, he received the CALI Excellence Award for being the highest ranking student in Trial Practice from Judge Gerald Alch (Ret.) and Clinical Evidence from Judge Jack Lu. Mr. Stoddard also served as an Executive Comment and Note Editor for the New England Law Review. Mr. Stoddard also interned for the Honorable Robert J. Cordy of the Supreme Judicial Court during law school.
Mr. Stoddard is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Mr. Stoddard is a founding member of the Staff Sergeant Bruce Rushforth Memorial Scholarship. He is also a member of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce and the Quincy Young Professionals. In his spare time he enjoys golf, golf, and golf – in no particular order.
